Travel is an important part of the Linden Hall experience, especially for boarding and international students. Every weekend there are opportunities to travel to nearby communities to take in local culture. There are also many opportunities to travel to the larger metropolitan areas that are easily accessible from campus – Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore, and Washington D.C.
At Linden Hall, we offer domestic and international travel opportunities over extended breaks to enhance our students' understanding and respect of different cultures and languages. These extracurricular travel opportunities develop competence in critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Past destinations have included Walt Disney World, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, New Orleans, Spain, and other areas in the Eastern United States.
Whether returning home or spending time with friends and relatives off-campus, the Assistant Director of Residential Life works carefully with boarding students and their parents as they plan individual trips over school breaks. The School also works with families to provide transportation to airports and train stations. We strongly recommend flying into Harrisburg International Airport.
