On Sunday, September 21, our Equestrian Centennial brought community members, alumnae, students, faculty, staff, and equestrian competitors together for a celebration of 100 years of Riding at Linden Hall.
The day included a sensational horse show, including many student and alumnae riders, as well as a raffle, food trucks, a t-shirt sale, unicorn races, face painting, Pet-a-Pony, Adopt-a-Horse, and a unique history exhibit that featured ribbons and trophies from as far back as 1930.
The highlight of the day was our first-ever Bit & Spur Association induction, during which Dr. Carter welcomed all those who have contributed to the success of Linden Hall’s Riding program throughout the decades. Each member received an honorary pin to mark this historic day.
Many thanks to all those who helped make yesterday’s celebration such a massive success. We are so excited about the next 100 years of Linden Hall’s equestrian program — there are so many amazing things to come!
