Our Campus

Our beautiful 49-acre campus is located in the heart of historic Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, in the picturesque town of Lititz. Visit lititzpa.com to learn more about the town just steps away from Linden Hall's gates.

Ideally located an easy drive or train ride from the cultural centers of Baltimore, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., and close to the smaller city of Lancaster, Linden Hall provides students access to many of the cultural events available in larger metropolitan areas. From theatres to art galleries to world-class cuisine, students will find that the local area has much to offer in the way of entertainment and cultural experiences.

Our campus facilities, described below, range from centuries-old stone structures to our modern academic building, with expansive arts, athletics and equestrian facilities.

Academic Buildings

The recently renovated Evita Allen Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) and the Steinman Arts & Science Building house state-of-the-art classrooms equipped with the latest technology. The CAE is the home to the World Languages, History, and English departments as well as Linden Hall's library, computer lab, College Counseling offices, and a lecture hall for large group instruction (LGI). Fine Arts, Photography, and Mathematics classrooms and the Science laboratories are located in the Steinman building.

The Makerspace opened in Fall 2017 in a renovated historic stone building, and focuses on technology and hands-on work across all academic disciplines.

Athletics Facilities

The Anne Brossman Sweigert (ABS) Sports & Fitness Center houses a standard sized gymnasium with fold out bleachers and basketball hoops. Home to the Linden Hall Lions Volleyball and Basketball teams, the gym is also used to host athletic competitions, fairs, and other large group events. On the second floor of the ABS Sports & Fitness Center there is a dance studio with sprung wood floors and mirrored walls, as well as a fitness room.

Equestrian Facilities

Home to our Equestrian team, the Stables @ Linden Hall are within walking distance of the academic buildings and dormitories. The equestrian facilities feature a competition level 80' x 200' indoor riding ring with a grand viewing deck and comfortable lounge, a large outdoor ring with all-weather footing and a spacious 20-stall center aisle stable with heated tack room.

Non-Academic Buildings

The historic Mary Dixon Memorial Chapel was built in 1885 and contains beautiful stained glass windows, a Hook & Hastings pipe organ, and a Baldwin Grand Piano. The sanctuary is located on the second floor of the chapel building. The first floor houses the middle school lounge.

The two-sided Dining Hall overlooks campus drive towards the North, and the Rock Garden towards the South. In the center of the dining hall is a raised platform that can be used as a stage or a dance floor and is sometimes used for additional seating.

Outdoor Areas

Fountain Courtyard

In the heart of campus, sits the Fountain Courtyard, nestled between the Academic Center and the dorms. The courtyard showcases a beautiful garden area centered around a fountain where the statues of Italian poets, Tasso and Dante stand watch.

Alumnae Rock Garden

Behind Honeycutt Hall is one of Linden Hall's secret treasures. Sheltered by trees, the Rock Garden surrounds a small lily pond and short winding pathways. A favorite of students and alums alike, the Rock Garden has remained a place of quiet beauty for almost 50 years. Its paths, bubbling waterfall, and colorful wildflowers create an escape from everyday student life and have been a source of inspiration for generations of Linden Hall girls.
