The Linden Hall Varsity Basketball Team won its fourth straight MAC Championship on February 18 over St. Joseph's Catholic, 52-43.

The Lions started strong, but four consecutive three-point shots by St. Joe's evened the game 22-22 at halftime for the challengers. Linden Hall reasserted itself after halftime with full-court pressure and won the decisive third quarter, 20-7. It was the third straight conference championship for the Lions.

Linden Hall shot 22-55 (40%) from the field and 8-9 from the foul line. Hetta Saatman led the Lions with 11 points and Jamoke Adaramoye finished with 10.

The Lions host a district quarterfinal game on Friday, February 23, at 7:00p.m.

January 27: First-Quarter Surge Leads to Victory
After its game in State College against St. Joseph's Catholic, the Lions stopped in Mifflintown for a non-conference game.

Juniata Mennonite was outmatched but very competitive. The Lions scored 24 points in the first quarter matching their second quarter output at St. Joe's earlier in the day. Mercy Ademusayo came off the bench to lead all scorers with sixteen points. Favour Mbedeleogu had 9 and Emiko Gardner added five more.

January 27: A Decisive Win Over St. Joseph's Catholic
Linden Hall avenged an early-season defeat to St. Joe's by a score of 59-41. The Lions are now tied for the conference lead and ranked #3 in the district.

The Lions scored on five three-point plays and had 27 baskets in the win. Marta Celebic directed the team and controlled the game. She also scored a game-high 17 points, including three three-pointers.

January 24: Harrisburg Academy Falls to Lions, 66-8
Linden Hall dominated from the start at Harrisburg, scoring at least 15 points in each quarter. The Lions' defense rendered Harrisburg Academy unable to score in the second half of play. Naomi Brabham scored 18 points and Hetta Saatman scored 12 points to lead the Lions.

January 20: Linden Hall Falls to Elite Mahanoy Area
Mahanoy Area, generally regarded as one of the states' top teams, had its hands full with Linden Hall. Mahanoy broke open a close game with three deep shots early in the 4th quarter, and then froze the ball to win.

The Lions played very strong defense and reduced their turnovers to compete with an elite team. Hetta Saatman scored 11 points to lead the Lions. Jumoke Adaramoye and Tahri Phillips chipped in 5 points apiece.

January 11: Linden Hall 69-28 over Biglerville
Linden Hall defeated Biglerville 69-28 in away action on January 11. Biglerville started strong, but managed only seven baskets against a more aggressive Lion team.

The Lions had 29 Field goals and shot 10-12 from the foul line against a full-court press from Biglerville.

Naomi Brabham scored a career-high 18 points with some nice finishing moves and strong overall play.

January 9: Lions Fall to St. Joe's
Linden Hall's streak of 16 straight conference wins came to end as the team lost its first conference game in three years to St. Joseph's Catholic, at home. Despite 16 points from Hetta Saatman, the Lions struggled offensively, committing 21 turnovers and shooting 14-48.

December 14: Linden Hall Tops Lancaster Mennonite, 51-41
Lancaster Mennonite played a strong first half and led by three at halftime. Linden Hall scored 21 points in the 4th quarter for the win, at home, led by a career-high 24 points and 10 rebounds from Hetta Saatman.

The Lions shot 21-48 for a 44% FG, with 12 offensive rebounds and an 8-14 free-throw tally. Tahri Phillips had 11 points and 5 assists, and Jumoke Adaramoye added eight points to the rally.
