Who are we?

We’re the oldest private all-girls boarding school in the US. In fact, we pre-date America as a nation, which seems fitting for an international school. We’re nestled in an ideal part of the East Coast in Lancaster County, PA, close to New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and our nation’s capital of Washington, D.C. — a location uniquely convenient for both day and boarding students.

There’s also plenty to do right outside our front door, as we’re in the heart of Lititz, the “Coolest Small Town in America." Lititz offers cozy cafés, world-class candy shops, gourmet restaurants, several parks, fascinating history, and so much more. Our girls always find fun and exciting new places to explore in town with their friends!

At Linden Hall, we’re curious, passionate, and engaged. Students love to collaborate, grapple with big ideas, innovate to make our world better, and have FUN. They embrace a variety of interests that inspire them to explore the arts, sports, STEM, or riding — some of them at world-class levels!

Who are you?

One of our students once said, “The ‘typical’ Linden Hall student is gloriously atypical.” There is no best type of student for Linden Hall. Instead, our girls join a student body that is a diverse blend of boarding students from afar and day students from nearby, artists and entrepreneurs, dreamers and builders, top athletes and inspiring artists, rocket builders and international travelers, and, of course, best friends.
