Resources for Parents and Students

At Linden Hall, we recognize that parents are critical to the educational journey and we strive to better educate parents regarding the college selection and process. At Linden Hall, the college counseling process is not limited to only the junior and senior years. Our goal is for students and parents to be as knowledgeable as possible as they navigate this experience.

Many changes have happened recently that have made the process of applying to college significantly different from prior years. For instance, in addition to the Common Application, some colleges are utilizing a new application platform – The Coalition Application. The process of applying for Financial Aid has also changed slightly as colleges are now able to evaluate students earlier in an effort to help families better understand their own financial situation.

Linden Hall utilizes Naviance/Family Connection, an external site that allows students to research colleges. In addition, students can monitor their college lists and plan when college representatives are visiting.
