Dennis Foreman
Faculty

“One of my favorite spots on campus is the Connecting Bridge, the hallway that leads from the Annex to the Business Offices. The photos of graduating classes from the 1860's to the present wallpaper this space. From the western windows, I can see the past – the Castle, Moravian Square – and I'm reminded of the role of the Moravians and their vision for educating young women of all backgrounds. From the eastern windows, many new improvements to the campus can be seen developing before my eyes! It is exciting to be part of a living, vital institution that recognizes and is proud of its history, but is dynamically seeking to challenge and motivate for the future.”

Department of History Chair

"What strikes me most about Linden Hall is how well it engages the whole person. The girls here are students and part of a larger family. Lots of places talk about lifelong learning and teaching to the whole child. Linden Hall puts those words into real, every day action in the classroom and, importantly, beyond the classroom. As faculty, we see the girls at meals, in study halls, during on and off campus activities, with their teammates at games or their dorm mates at sleepovers... We engage the whole student because we see them beyond the classroom and the students are able to see us that way as well, not just as teachers but also as lifelong learners and parents and whole people. In the small, family atmosphere of Linden Hall, we all learn from and engage one another.”
