Linden Hall Ledger

Did you know?
There are always exciting weekend travel opportunities at Linden Hall – whether it’s checking out a local destination or taking the train to nearby New York City or Washington, D.C.

Countless ways to express personal interests

Linden Hall students undoubtedly benefit from a rich academic and social life. You can choose from many co-curricular activities including athletics, arts, performance, social responsibility, environmental concerns, and more. The school’s clubs and weekend activities provide outlets to express personal interests – and the open, leadership-focused environment encourages the introduction to a new pastime or even the development of a new organization. Homecoming, dances (there are several a year), and other activities provide opportunity to interact with the opposite sex (yes, there are boys!) and to broaden the student life experience.

Just a small sample of Linden Hall’s current campus organizations include:

Global Community Council
Students from around the world share their cultures. The council arranges cultural activities as well as supports current programs at the school.

The Ledger
The Ledger is the student newspaper. There are opportunities for students to engage as reporters, columnists, photographers, editors, and cartoonists. There is also a Middle School page for younger writers.

Math Counts
Linden Hall students may participate in math competitions sponsored by the Mathematical Association of America and are chosen based on their age and math ability. Middle School girls are presented materials as part of their curriculum, and Upper School girls have a Math Club during which time they prepare for the competition.

Model UN
The Model UN is open to all Upper School students and meets to discuss modern political and diplomatic events and issues. Based on their research, presentations, and debates, students from the club will be selected for a LH Model UN delegation for a spring competition.

Peer Editing and English Tutoring Program
Recommended students offer grammar and usage tutoring sessions and edit draft papers for their peers.

Website Design Club
Students learn about and practice web design as they create and maintain a student centered website for the school.
