Doing good for the community
Community service is strong at Linden Hall. It is an integral part of the school curriculum and instills the ideals that develop character. Whether it’s face painting at a local community event, or a mission trip to Honduras – the young women of Linden Hall are involved.
Each Upper School student at Linden Hall is required to perform at least 15 hours of community service each year. Middle school students must complete at least 10 hours of community service. The school partners with an endless number of organizations – both small and large – to provide many opportunities for community involvement.
These are just a few of the ways Linden Hall supports community service:
- United Way Day of Caring
- Local volunteering with the Lititz rotary and Lions clubs
- Tutoring
- Outdoor projects – landscaping, tree planting, neighborhood cleanup
- Linden Hall’s own annual walk for breast cancer
- Charity fundraisers, including Linden Hall’s International Performance Night
If a local organization is ever in need of help, they know they can reach out to Linden Hall and a volunteer army is always ready to assist.
