Application deadline
February 1, 2012
(Prospective students are encouraged to apply at the earliest possible date to assure sufficient time for consideration.)
Linden Hall’s applications process requires submission of the following materials:
- Secondary School Admission Testing
The SSAT is required of all applicants. The SSAT is offered at Linden Hall and test centers nationwide and internationally. For a list of locations and to register for the test, visit www.ssat.org. When registering on the SSAT website, applicants should select Linden Hall as a score recipient (school code - 4650).
- Application
Linden Hall offers two application options – apply online or download an application. Complete the application in its entirety. There is a section to be completed by parents and a section to be completed by the applicant. A non-refundable application fee of $45 is required. For students outside the United States, the application fee is $100.
- Transcripts
Transcripts must be sent directly to the Admission Office from the applicant’s current school and must be received prior to final action by the Committee on Admission. Any standardized test results from current or previous schools are also requested.
- Confidential Recommendations
Confidential teacher recommendation forms should be forwarded to your daughter’s current English and math teachers. Once completed, the forms are to be returned directly to Linden Hall by the teachers.
- English Language
Applicants whose first language is not English must submit documentation of appropriate English proficiency test scores (SLEP or TOEFL). Linden Hall offers English as a Second Language at both the Intermediate and Advanced levels.
Campus Tours
Applicants are encouraged to plan for a school visit and campus tour on one of the scheduled Open Houses or Visit Days. This allows applicants to experience a full day in classes and meet with current students and faculty. Parents have the opportunity to schedule an appointment to meet with Dr. Stumpo, Headmaster, while their daughter is visiting.
Campus Interviews
All applicants in the United States will be invited to schedule an on-campus interview with the Director of Admission or with an admission representative in any of the cities on this year’s travel calendar. The interview will assess the candidate’s aptitude for the program and commitment to study. |
