Dear Linden Hall Community,

The 2011-2012 school year has begun in fine fashion.

今年度学校有了一个很好的开始。

Opening Day was filled with excitement as we welcomed 245 students. This year's student body is by far a record high and includes an historic number of both boarding and local families. The girls are settling in well during this first month of school, and the campus is filled with the energy of our
happy and hard-working students.

开学的那一天我们很兴奋地迎接到校的两百四十五位学生。今年学校的学生人数打破了
历年来的最高纪录，这个纪录包括了外地来的住宿生与当地的通勤生。我们的孩子们在开
学后的第一个月当中适应得很好，校园里充满了学生们快乐和勤奋用功的能量。

It seems clear that, in lands both near and far, the news of the remarkable quality of our program is spreading. Last year's students, especially the graduating class of 2011, advanced our school by earning what we believe are the top academic results of any school in the United States. Obviously, we are extremely proud of those students and the talented faculty who mentored them.

很明显地，我们优秀的学术课程已经在当地和国外传播开来。去年在校的学生，特别是今
年五月的毕业生，各项考试的成绩把我们学校的学术水平，提高到了全美国最高的标准。

The construction of the Center for Academic Excellence is underway. The demolition work to the east of Stengel Hall is complete as is the excavation necessary for the lower level of the new building. Estimated completion date is August 2012 when we intend to open the new academic heart of our school featuring a new Library/Research Center, a new multi-tier Lecture Hall, new classrooms, new office spaces, and a beautiful Grand Lobby/Visitor Center.
