Linden Hall School

Middle School Handbook
2006 - 2007

Dear Linden Hall Students:

Welcome to Linden Hall and a new school year!

The purpose of this handbook is to serve as a reference for the many details, routines, and expectations for your life as a Linden Hall Middle School student.  We urge you to become very familiar with the handbook's contents and to refer to it often.

Since 1746, Linden Hall has been educating young women in a caring, structured learning environment.  The philosophy of our school is "learning for life" so we hope to provide you the best well-rounded education possible while being exposed to many diverse cultures and experiences.  We expect you to take to heart the three pillars of the Middle School pledge: "Honor, Excellence, and Tradition".  We are committed to helping you learn to make responsible choices and understand the consequences of your actions. Most of our rules are based on respect, both for other people and property.  Good manners are a natural part of expressing respect.

The faculty, staff, your parents, and friends may help you, but the responsibility of being a good citizen of Linden Hall belongs to you.    Never hesitate to talk to your advisor, your teacher, or me.  Together we will make this a wonderful year.

Sincerely,

Sally A. Watkins
Director, Linden Hall Middle School
